If dance, music, art and sports can start at an early age, then why not Engineering, Medical or Business?

About this course

Most children can use a phone and almost none can use a computer. They have never organised a file system, never built a spreadsheet formula, never troubleshooted an install, never understood what an operating system is actually doing.

This course covers computer applications the way a workplace expects them: Windows and Linux, the full Microsoft Office suite plus the free and online alternatives, the control panel, the file system, keyboard fluency, and the web tools used for real work.

It is the most immediately useful course in the Foundation set. A child who finishes it can produce a document, a spreadsheet model and a presentation without help, and fix their own machine when it misbehaves.

Who this is for

If two or more of these sound like your child, this course fits.

Students in Class 5 and above who use phones fluently but computers poorly
Children whose school computer periods are theory-only
Students who will need Excel and presentations for projects and later for work
Children who want to understand what the machine is doing, not just click through it
Students preparing for school computer examinations or IT practicals

What your child will be able to do

1 Critical Thinking & Reasoning
2 Explain what hardware, software and an operating system each actually do
3 Convert between binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal number systems
4 Organise a file system properly and manage drives, folders and properties
5 Work fluently in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access — and their free equivalents
6 Use the Windows Control Panel to install, uninstall, troubleshoot and configure
7 Operate a computer through DOS commands and navigate Linux from the terminal
8 Use Google and Microsoft web suites, and everyday services like banking, railway and payments, safely

Parent questions

What is the fee for Computer Applications?+

The Computer Applications course is ₹15,000 for the full six months, or No-Cost EMI of ₹3,000 × 6 with no interest and no processing charge. That covers all live sessions, recordings for revision, assessments and the project work. There is no registration or material fee.

How much time does this take each week?+

Three live sessions a week over six months, scheduled after school hours or at weekends so it never clashes with school. Every session is recorded, so a missed class can be caught up before the next one.

Does my child need a computer at home?+

Yes, for this course. A laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection is required, since almost every session involves working along on a real machine.

Windows or Linux?+

Both. The course is taught primarily on Windows, with a dedicated unit on Linux so the child is not tied to one operating system.

Is Microsoft Office required?+

Not necessarily. We teach the Microsoft suite and the free LibreOffice and Google equivalents side by side, so the course works whichever your family uses.

Will this help with school computer exams?+

Yes, directly. The syllabus covers the theory school examinations ask about and the practical work they assess, in more depth than most school labs allow time for.

Which class should start?+

Class 5 upward. Younger children manage the desktop, Paint and web units comfortably; the office and control panel units suit Class 6 and above better.

How long is the course?+

It is the longest of the Foundation courses because of the syllabus breadth. Ask us for the current schedule and batch length when you enquire.

Can my child try a class before we pay?+

Yes. We run one free trial class so your child can sit in on a live session and you can both judge the teaching before committing. Message us on WhatsApp to book it.

Ask about batch timings and fees

Tell us your child’s class and we will suggest whether Computer Applications is the right starting point.
