LIVE CLIENT PROJECTS

You leave with work, not a certificate of attendance.

Every program is built around one piece of real work carried from the first week to the last. Not a tutorial you followed — something you made, defended and can show.

Why a project, and not just exams

The difference between knowing a tool and having used it under pressure.

Every hiring manager we work with says the same thing: they can tell within five minutes whether a candidate has actually done the work. Not whether they know the vocabulary — whether they have made the decisions, hit the constraints and dealt with data that arrived broken.

So the project is not an assignment at the end. It is chosen in the first fortnight and carried through every module, which means each new technique gets applied to something you already care about rather than to a toy dataset.

By graduation you have a piece of work, the reasoning behind it, and a mentor’s written review of both. That combination is what gets you through a technical interview or a client pitch.

What the project looks like by track

One example per family of programs. Your mentor scopes the specifics to your situation.

Marketing & growth

A live campaign with real budget: audience, creative, bidding and a weekly review where you defend the return. You finish with tracked CAC, a creative testing log and a one-page growth report.

Analytics & BI

A business question from a real dataset — why margin fell, which cohort churns — answered end to end in SQL and a published dashboard, plus a memo written for a non-technical manager.

Data science & ML

A model trained, evaluated and deployed, with drift monitoring and a business memo explaining what decision it improves and by how much.

AI & agentic development

A working agent or LLM application with an evaluation suite, cost controls and guardrails, running on real inputs rather than demo prompts.

Cloud & DevOps

A multi-service architecture deployed with infrastructure as code and a CI/CD pipeline, with a written cost and security review and architecture decision records.

Entrepreneurship & leadership

Your own venture: a launched store, a costed catalogue, or an investor-ready deck, data room and hiring plan reviewed against real diligence standards.

How a project runs

01  SCOPED

In the first two weeks you and the mentor agree the brief, the success measure and the constraints. Ambition is calibrated to the time you actually have.

02  BUILT WEEKLY

Each module adds to it. You are never doing a module in the abstract and a project separately at the end.

03  REVIEWED

A dedicated review session with written feedback: what holds up, what does not, what an interviewer will attack.

04  PORTFOLIO-READY

You leave with the artefact, the write-up and the mentor’s review, in a form you can send to an employer or a client.

Project FAQs

Are these real client projects or case studies?+

Both, depending on the course and the batch. Where we have a live brief from a partner business, students work on it under supervision. Where we do not, the project is built on real market data or your own business rather than a cleaned teaching dataset.

Do I work alone or in a team?+

Mostly alone, so you can defend every part of it in an interview. Some briefs run in pairs where the work genuinely needs two roles.

Who owns the work I produce?+

You do, and you can show it in your portfolio. Where a partner business shares confidential data, you sign an NDA and the portfolio version is anonymised.

What if my project fails?+

A campaign that lost money or a model that did not beat the baseline is still a valid project, provided you can explain why. Interviewers respect a diagnosis more than a suspiciously perfect result.

Is the project reviewed or just submitted?+

Reviewed, in a session with the mentor, with written feedback. Certification follows the review, not the submission.
